France striker Thierry HenryThierry Henry began his career playing for Monaco in the French league. He made his début for manager Arsene Wenger at the age of 17 and went on to score 28 goals for them. He was deployed mostly as a left winger, where his vision and invention served the team well.

In January 1999, Henry left Monaco for the Italian league, specifically Turin giants Juventus. However, he was not happy there and in August of that same year transferred to Arsenal in the English Premiership.

It is in England that Henry has enjoyed most success. During his seven year stay there, he has broken all the club's goal-scoring records, surpassing the legendary Ian Wright's total of 185 goals. Not only does Henry score prolifically, he is also able to create goals for his teammates. In fact, he holds the Premiership records for assists in one season (23 in the 2002/03 season). He is an instinctive footballer, capable of scoring fantastic goals, and is joy to watch for a football fan. Let's hope the World Cup this year gives him a chance to add to his tally of 31 goals in 76 appearances.
he is a best.
