Wilkommen to the Host Cities

Germany's 12 host cities of the 2006 FIFA World Cup include: Berlin, Dortmund, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Gelsenkirchen, Hanover, Kaiserslautern, Cologne, Leipszig, Munich, Nuremberg, and Stuttgart.

The whole superstar-studded Brazilian delegation will rest up in the exclusive and high-priced 50-room Kempinski Hotel Falkenstein in the 18,000-person town of Koenigstein im Tuanus (located 13 miles from Frankfurt), which more than 100 millionaires call home.

The Samba Stars will be squatting in the upper stratum of World Cup accommodations. Meanwhile, visitors from 72 countries have booked over one million hotel stays during the World Cup, at an average of 186 Euros ($230) a night. Organizing Committee officials worked with 600 partner hotels to prevent price gouging. Some locals are taking the opportunity to open their homes to visitors.
